Kayla's Baby Shower

Stephen's little sister, Kayla and her fiance are expecting a baby on June 12th!!  We are soooooo excited for them and can't week to meet little baby Andre!  My sister in law, Jessica and I hosted a fun shower for her about a month ago (I know I'm way behind on the blog...)

We had such a fun time planning the shower for the new momma to be!

The welcome table...

We had everyone fill out envelopes to save Kayla a little time with thank you notes!

Everyone had to leave a page of advice for Kayla, most of them were helpful tips but she got some silly ones from her friends who don't have kids yet!

I had a lot of fun making this cute banner...I have a feeling I will be making a lot more of these in the future!

I just love the look of mason jars right now and the best part is they can be reused for every other shower and party I'm hosting this summer (its going to be a BUSY summer...)

Stephens cousin, Lissa is also expecting a little boy.  They are due just 4 days apart!  These little guys are going to be the best of friends!

It was an awesome day!  So fun to meet some of Kayla's friends I've heard so much about!

We can't wait to welcome this little boy very soon!

Staycation

Stephen and I were planning on taking a little spring break trip this year so we got a week off work and started doing a little research...and then plans changed...sooooo...
we had a nice little STAYCATION.
I have to admit I was pretty bummed when we decided not to go anywhere but it ended up being a nice relaxing week and we got some things done around the house!!

First up on the docket for the week Josie got spayed!  It worked out perfectly that we were home this weeks so we could tend to her needs.  She is a stubborn little thing so we were worried she was going to be picking at her staples until they came out.  Much to our surprise she was AWESOME!  What a trooper!  She only licked her staples once!
Josie and momma post surgery!

She got in lots of resting time after surgery!  Funny that she never laid on this bed before surgery, she would just drag it all over the room.  I guess this cozy bed is just what the doctor ordered for her smooth recovery!

The weather this week was gorgeous!  Josie was born on September 24th so she had never seen warm weather.  It was tough to keep her inside!  We took lots of walks and played ball in the backyard quite a bit!

Happy Josie!

Just loving life!

We hadn't done a lot of picture hanging in the house because I can't decide what I want to put on the walls....but this mirror was perfect for over the buffet in our living room!  I just love it!

All in all it was a nice week and we got to spend lots of time together!
